This is a recreation of the Tactical Insertion, seen across many CoD games (but using the Black Ops 2 model). There are many gamemodes in Garry’s Mod which kill the player repeatedly, a key mechanic of them.
Unfortunately very few move the spawn point of the player, and in turn force them to run for way longer than they need to. I wanted to fix that by porting the tactical insertion.
When the player places it down (holding left click), it moves their spawn point to the vector of the entity, so when they die, they are moved to that location. This allows people to progress further in various game modes like the mousetrap-esque “Deathrun” as well as other adventure maps.
